Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ShilosSilo, available at shilossilo.com (the "Service", "we", "us", "our"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance

By using the Service or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. The Service is currently in a testing phase, is provided on an "as is" basis, and may change, break, or lose data as we develop it. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

ShilosSilo is a personal collection cataloging tool for books, music, movies, video games, board games, and trading cards. A free tier is available with usage limits and quotas that we may change at any time. We may introduce paid features in the future.

3. Your account

You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep your login credentials secret. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Password resets are performed using the recovery code shown to you when you sign up — there is no email-based password reset today, so keep your recovery code safe.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the collection data and photos you add to the Service. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content back to you solely to operate the Service. When you delete your account, your content is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Third-party data and images

Item metadata, card identification, and images shown in the Service come from third-party data providers under their own terms. To respect those terms, you must not:

• scrape, bulk-export, or systematically extract catalog, identification, or pricing data obtained through the Service (exporting your own collection via the built-in export tool is permitted);
• use such data to create, populate, or maintain any standalone database, catalog, or dataset outside the Service;
• redistribute, resell, or otherwise make provider data available to others;
• bypass or circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls.

These restrictions mirror, and are at least as protective as, our upstream providers' license terms.

6. Cover artwork

Cover images are displayed from third-party sources and are selected by you when you add or edit an item. All rights in cover artwork remain with their respective owners. If you have a copyright concern about a cover image, please use the takedown process on our Copyright & Takedown page.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• abuse, attack, overload, or otherwise interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data;
• create accounts by automated means.

8. Affiliate links

The Service may include affiliate links in the future. If it does, we may earn a commission when you make a purchase through such a link. This does not affect the price you pay.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your Account page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. When your account is deleted, your data is purged as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

The Service, and all third-party data and images made available through it, are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, including as to the accuracy of metadata, pricing, or valuation information. Any valuation figures are informational only and are not appraisals, offers, or financial advice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
